The Levven Project, located in neighbourhoods throughout Calgary and Edmonton, received partial funding for the incremental costs of installing novel home-automation electrical technologies, and for monitoring their use and cost-effectiveness. The goal was to reveal to Industry that alternate technologies in green buildings can be cost-effective and efficient. The whole-home “smart” power and lighting control system leverages wireless technology, require minimal power to run, reduce material use, and simplify the construction process.

“We believe consumers are rewarded with no-cost energy-saving controls throughout their home to reduce power consumption and lower monthly power bills for the lifetime of the home.”

— James Keirstead (Levven Electronics)

Project Innovation

Levven Switches

Levven is introducing a new, local, smart-home technology that demonstrates the potential for energy efficiency and emissions reductions, along with cost savings. The Levven Project introduces its smart electrical switch technology that removes the need for wiring switches throughout the home, reduces landfill waste, and gives the home-owner/operator more control to save money. Take a look at Levven’s informative videos in this section to learn more.
