Switched Right by Levven is a sustainable, smart switching solution built from the ground up for the home builder. This technology utilizes efficient installation methods to save, time, materials, and labour while providing the homeowner with energy-saving automation at every switch at no added cost. Homes built with the Switched Right technology use efficient construction methods to save resources and reduce environmental impact. They conserve a significant amount of time, labor, materials, and greenhouse gas emissions. The result is a home that enhances your living environment with better lighting accessibility, convenient app-enabled features, and energy-saving automation into every switch. More Sustainable – Switched Right homes conserve nearly 45 kg / 100 lbs of embodied CO2 emissions during its construction compared to a conventionally wired home. Better Build Quality – Up to eight quality deficiencies associated with trades working around switch boxes in a new home are eliminated. Smart as a Standard – Paying extra for smart switch features is obsolete. Smart features are now a standard inclusion in all switches in a Switched Right home.

GBTN04 – Levven Energy Performance and Emissions Reduction Analysis

The Levven Project, located in neighbourhoods throughout Calgary and Edmonton, received partial funding for the incremental costs of installing novel home-automation electrical technologies, and for monitoring their use and cost-effectiveness. The goal was to reveal to Industry that alternate technologies in green buildings can be cost-effective and efficient. The whole-home “smart” power and lighting control system leverages wireless technology, require minimal power to run, reduce material use, and simplify the construction process.
