Housing Innovation – Alberta Success Stories

Join SSRIA and PrairiesCan on Wednesday, February 11th, 2026 2pm – 3pm (MST) for a webinar showcasing real world success stories from Alberta’s residential housing sector. This session will highlight how innovation supported through the GBTN has driven economic growth, reduced emissions, and accelerated the adoption of high performance building practices across the province.

The webinar will feature opening remarks from PrairiesCan, an overview of SSRIA’s work and the objectives and results of GBTN 1.0, and in depth highlights of two innovative projects. These include Levven Electronics’ energy performance and emissions reduction work, as well as the North Glenora multi unit residential building constructed to Passive House standards with a strong focus on accessibility and rent stabilization.

Attendees will also hear brief updates on new housing innovation projects currently underway, followed by a live question and answer period. This webinar is ideal for industry professionals, policymakers, and anyone interested in advancing sustainable and resilient housing in Alberta.
