Steve Norris has been working in the construction industry in Calgary, focusing on sustainable practices for 17 years, and is currently serving on the BILD Climate & Environment Committee and Energy Labeling & Building code Working Group. Additionally, he is also currently involved in two deep energy retrofit SSRIA projects, GBTN10 and FS02. Steve has an educational background in science, and has worked previously for a mid-sized multifamily builder for 10 years, using the Built Green program as a platform for improving our focus on sustainability. He started SNAP Building in 2016, focusing mainly on doing renovation and construction, including LEED certifications. Currently, SNAP is working on and promoting Deep Energy Retrofits, consulting on energy efficiency for both renovation and new build clients. SNAP is also working with a Passive design team on a multifamily development in collaboration with the City of Calgary’s Green Building Priority Stream.
