Rod joined Ledcor in 2008 and possesses over 23 years of project management and execution experience primarily in the heavy civil, mining and infrastructure sectors in western Canada.
As Vice-President at Ledcor Infrastructure, Rod leads major project design-build and public private partnership pursuits. His corporate responsibilities include being the chair of Ledcor’s Innovation Committee and Ledcor’s Technology Investment Council. Rod holds a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering, as well as a M.Sc. in Construction Engineering and Management from the University of Alberta. Rod is proud to be Métis and is a member of the Métis Nation of Alberta.
Rod is actively involved with the University of Alberta where he acts as a corporate liaison to the Construction Engineering and Management program and the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada’s collaborative Research and development project, entitled Simulation Based Analytics for Industrial Construction. His in-kind university contributions include guest lecturer and student research advisor, where he provides graduate students access to industry-based research projects. In addition to his involvement with the University of Alberta, Rod has contributed to academia in the field of simulation and artificial intelligence through authorship of several journal papers, conference proceedings and reports.
