Kaan Ozdurak has extensive experience in the private, public, and civil society sectors in the Netherlands and Canada. He joined SSRIA as an Analyst to research barriers to the adoption of low-carbon innovation in the Alberta building sector. His research includes studies of corporate responsibility in global coffee supply chains (University of Alberta) and circular public procurement (Dutch Green Deal on the Circular Economy).
Kaan has worked in public relations, operational and strategic facilitation, and support at senior management and Board levels. His public engagement experience includes working with governments and engaging with a range of public, private and non-governmental stakeholders internationally. He is on the board of Net Impact Edmonton, a coordinating member of the Edmonton Impact Business Community and a communications volunteer for MIT REAP Team Edmonton
