David Leonard is the Managing Principal and Head of Engineering at METAFOR Architecture Inc., where he leads firm operations, mentors staff, and serves on the Board of Directors. With over 15 years of experience in building science, façade engineering, and sustainable design, David has delivered high-performance building envelopes across North America. He holds a Civil Engineering Technology diploma from SAIT, commissioning credentials from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, and is licensed in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia. David teaches Building Science at the University of Calgary and is recognized for advancing inclusive, adaptive design strategies. A dedicated community volunteer, David supports youth mentorship and local philanthropy initiatives.
