Ali Tapaquon is a Plains Cree and Ethiopian (Afro-Indigenous) consultant who is the Principal and Founder at Tatâga Inc. With roots in Carry the Kettle Nakoda Nation in Treaty 4 and raised in Treaty 7, his work connects Indigenous knowledge with practical climate action and the right local partnerships to move it forward.
For more than half a decade, Ali has supported public, private, and nonprofit organizations across sectors including climate, tourism, finance, natural resources, sport and recreation, retail, and community development across Canada. His work focuses on building stronger relationships, improving systems, and creating practical strategies that reflect Indigenous rights, knowledge, and priorities.
Across his work, Ali advocates for a more regenerative future in which Indigenous and diverse communities are not simply consulted but are active leaders and partners, working alongside broader society to create lasting and meaningful outcomes
