We’re pleased to welcome EcoInnovation Technologies Inc, manufacturer of ThermoDrain, as our newest member in the SSRIA community.
ThermoDrain supports the transition to a zero-carbon built environment by reducing energy demand, lowering greenhouse gas emissions, and helping buildings meet high-performance and sustainability standards. By capturing and reusing heat from wastewater, this drain water heat recovery technology delivers measurable efficiency gains through a simple, integrated solution that works within standard plumbing systems.
Founded in 2007, EcoInnovation Technologies Inc. has been advancing this technology for nearly two decades. As energy efficiency becomes a growing priority in building policy and construction practices, the company sees strong opportunities in Alberta, across Canada, and internationally. Programs such as MLI Select (an innovative new multi-unit mortgage loan insurance product focused on affordability, accessibility, and climate compatibility), are driving increased adoption, and drain water heat recovery is gaining traction as project teams look for practical, cost-effective ways to improve building performance.
“One of the primary barriers this company has overcome is market awareness,” shared Carolyn Mailloux, Inside Sales Accounts Manager. “Because drain water heat recovery is still unfamiliar to many builders and engineers, EcoInnovation has focused on education, performance validation, and demonstrating ease of integration. This approach has helped build confidence in the technology and highlight its value in achieving long-term energy savings and emissions reductions.”
Through their membership with SSRIA, ThermoDrain is looking forward to strengthening industry connections, sharing knowledge, and contributing to the advancement of energy efficiency and sustainable building practices in Alberta.
We’re so excited to have them as part of our network and to support the continued adoption of innovative, high-impact solutions like ThermoDrain across the built environment.
