“SSRIA held their AGM last week which is a time I like to take to reflect on highlights from the past year and celebrate the successes as we move our mission forward. Most notably, we are thrilled that SSRIA has provided funding for 17 demonstration projects. This is double the number of projects we were targeting which has allowed us to have more building types, more technologies, and more teams gathering results that will all be shared with YOU! The estimated average energy savings for these projects is 43% which is right on our target of reaching 40% energy reductions by 2030 as we create the pathway to net zero emissions by 2050. We have also been building a lot of momentum through webinars and social media platforms. Our network is highly engaged which only strengthens our mutual success so thank you! Finally, another important milestone is that we co-organized and delivered the Alberta Energy Efficiency + Innovation Summit with the Alberta Energy Efficiency Alliance. We look forward to build on this collaboration and present industry innovation side by side with energy efficiency.
